UDI Alberta & Alberta Environment Present:  The New Provincial Wetland Policy

In September 2013, Alberta Environment released the new Alberta Wetland Policy.  This policy provides the strategic direction and tools required to make informed management decisions in the long-term interests of Albertans.  The policy hopes to minimize the loss and degradation of wetlands, while allowing for continued growth and economic development in the province.   In support of this release and in an effort to assist our industry in understanding the implementation phase, UDI Alberta is partnering with Alberta Environment to host two special information sessions.

Session 1 – November 5, Calgary
Session 2 – November 13, Edmonton

These half-day sessions will offer attendees an in-depth look at the new policy, municipal integration of the policy, wetland replacement and storm water ponds, and will include a question and answer period.
